Josh Osborne is a former big law attorney, who focuses his practice on corporate and bankruptcy matters.

He has represented a wide array of clients, including: hedge funds, private equity, banks, retailers, airlines, telecommunications companies, landlords, shareholders, and energy companies in connection with:

  • mergers and acquisitions;
  • asset/stock acquisitions and dispositions pursuant to Section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code, Plans of Reorganization; and Plans of Liquidation;
  • in and out-of-court restructurings;
  • corporate finance;
  • contract negotiation and documentation;
  • lift stay actions;
  • litigation involving directors and officers;
  • state and federal securities laws;
  • valuing distressed debt;
  • analyzing loan/bond covenants; and
  • evaluating long/short ideas for distressed companies.

Josh has also served as court-approved counsel to debtors, bankruptcy trustees, creditors’ committees, and equity committees in all aspects of corporate reorganization and bankruptcy litigation.

Immediately prior to joining the Firm, Josh was fortunate to serve as a law clerk to the Honorable Barbara J. Houser, the Honorable Stacey G. C. Jernigan, and the Honorable Michelle V. Larson, Bankruptcy Court judges in the Northern District of Texas – Dallas Division. There, he gained valuable experience in all aspects of bankruptcy law. Josh also externed for the Honorable D. Michael Lynn and spent several years under the mentorship of the Honorable Michael A. McConnell after his return to private practice.
