Welcoming to the Firm: Eric T. Haitz, Partner
Bonds Ellis Eppich Schafer Jones LLP is please to welcome Eric. T. Haitz as a partner in the firm’s corporate and bankruptcy practice groups. Eric has considerable experience negotiating and litigating in complex bankruptcy proceedings across the country, as well as advising clients in merger and acquisition transactions. In particular, Eric brings experience orchestrating multi-party settlements that prevent distressed asset disputes from spiraling into protracted litigation or value-reducing liquidation, as well as advocating for debtors and creditors in financial workout and creditors’ rights matters.
Eric was born in Indianapolis and raised in Southlake, Texas. Prior to joining the firm, Eric worked on some the nation’s largest and most complex chapter 11 cases as an attorney with Akin Gump in Dallas and Gibson Dunn in Houston, where he focused on Financial Restructuring matters, as well as Corporate Governance and M&A matters. Eric’s experience advising clients in complex and contentious chapter 11 cases emboldens his appreciation of the interests and strategies deployed by differently-situated parties in bankruptcy proceedings and strengthens his ability to advocate on behalf of clients in the face of financial or operational distress.
